[BLOG] One month ago, Hurricane Matthew devastated the southeast coast of the United States, from Florida to North Carolina, creating more than a billion dollars’ worth of damages and leaving many in desperate need of help. Seeing this need, our Raleigh/Durham Branch partnered with a local client – Poyner Spruill LLP – to gather food, supplies and donations for the victims.

Working closely with Poyner Spruill’s CIO, Ellen Kinsinger, our combined teams collected, sorted and boxed 670 pounds of food, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies for the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina to distribute to community members affected by the hurricane. Poyner Spruill LLP also raised $1,500 in cash donations for the cause, which is equivalent to an astounding 7,500 meals!

Despite our short history in North Carolina, Access is dedicated to the community and to helping the affected residents recover from this tragic event. We are grateful for the time and efforts invested by our many Team Members and by Poyner Spruill – who was instrumental in making this drive such a success.
