At Access, our commitment to the communities in which we do business is one of the three measurements we use to determine our success. It is a vital part of our Vision Statement and our guiding principles, and our Cincinnati Team is the latest to have embraced it fully!

Last weekend, Access Cincinnati renewed and strengthened its partnership with Shared Harvest Foodbank (SHF), which provides food for the community’s less fortunate members.


At a rate of 16.9%, Ohio is one of the fourteen states with a higher food insecurity rate than the U.S. national average. SHF works to distribute wholesome grocery products to as many needy and hungry people throughout the state as possible, with an emphasis on those households with children or elderly members.

Having previously partnered with the SHF for a canned food drive in November 2015, the Access Cincinnati Team knew they wanted to build on that collaboration and do even more. That’s why nineteen Team Members donated their time on April 25 and 26 to pack food for seniors and children who live in Butler, Miami, Darke and Warren counties.

Going above and beyond all expectations, they packed 360 boxes containing dried/canned food for local seniors with less than $800 in monthly income, and over 1,800 backpacks of food for children who do not have enough at home to get through a weekend.

As a matter of fact, the “BackPack” program benefited 90 local schools and 11 Head Start programs, ensuring that underprivileged children and their families had one less thing to worry about over the weekend.

The Cincinnati Team expressed how proud they were to have had the chance to help those who are less fortunate. While we couldn’t agree more, “proud” just doesn’t seem to cover it:
