It was a heavy weekend for 23 Team Members from Access Denver, as they took part in the Special Olympics Colorado Plane Pull at the Denver International Airport.
The Plane Pull was a giant tug-of-war between a team of up to 25 people and a 164,000-pound airplane. Each team was challenged to pull a jumbo jet 12 feet across the tarmac in the least amount of time.
The best part of the event was that all the monies raised went to help Special Olympics Colorado provide year-round training and athletic competitions to more than 19,600 state athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The Access Team Members hit their goal of raising $2,970 AND were able to pull the plane across the tarmac in just over 8.6 seconds.
Thanks to all the Denver members of #TeamAccess that took part in the Plane Pull. You make us #PositivelyDifferent
