Access Delivers on its Acquisition Strategy and Continues Momentum with Eight Acquisitions in First Quarter 2019

WOBURN, Mass., May 24, 2019 – Continuing its acquisition momentum, Access, the largest privately held records and information management (RIM) services provider in the world, completed eight acquisitions in the first quarter of 2019.

“These acquisitions, completed in Q1 2019, are a large step in our company’s continued growth as we focus on acquiring quality companies, and working with potential sellers,” said John Chendo, President of Access. “We continue to actively seek out records information management companies as part of our acquisition strategy, and look to leverage their strengths as part of our fast-growing business.”

Earlier in the quarter, Access announced the acquisition of Docu-Depot in Canada and Montaña & Associates in Denver, with a total of eight acquisitions in the first quarter of 2019. Headquartered in Montreal, Docu-Depot is a provider of document management, destruction and storage, serving businesses in Montreal and Quebec City.

According to James Bastian, Owner of Docu-Depot, “From the negotiations to the transition, the Access team was very conscious of our customers, our staff, and of us, the selling owners. It made the sale that much easier to leave the company with our staff and customers happy with our choice in Access to have purchased Docu-Depot.”

He added, “One item that impressed me the most was the transition team’s attention to details. Realizing that the majority of our clients and staff were French, all documentation was translated into Quebec French. It showed me that Access understands that our customers and staff are two very important aspect of what made Docu-Depot a great company in the Montreal market.”

The Access team is led by CEO Rob Alston and President John Chendo, two veterans of the records management industry. The Access team has built a dynamic and well-respected company based on a strategic acquisition program coupled with a focus on driving organic growth and adding new capabilities through offerings such as CartaHR, a cloud-based employee document management solution that helps HR teams focus on their people, not on paperwork.
