Four companies brought onboard in as many months

Livermore, CA, June 24, 2014 – Rob Alston, CEO of Access, has announced the company’s acquisition of four companies representing expansion in eight existing Access markets. The number of acquisitions the company has made since its founding in 2004 now totals 66.

First up, Shred Biz, based just outside Sacramento in Shingle Springs, California, added to the Access Secure Destruction business in Sacramento, Chico, the Bay Area, Los Angeles and the surrounding southern California region, as well as Phoenix.

In Cincinnati, Access purchased the records storage accounts held by Commonwealth Warehouse, Inc., a large and well known distribution and warehousing company, and has relocated that inventory to its Cincinnati Record Center.

Vital Records Management of Springfield, Massachusetts was acquired on the last day of April. The Vital records inventory is currently being relocated to the Access Connecticut Record Center located in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford. Kristen Keavany Ashe, whom many recognize for her active participation in the RIM industry, explained, “After building our business over the past 30 years, it was so very important to us that we ensure the best possible outcome for our clients. We have known the Access executive team for many years and know this is the very best move for everyone involved. We’re thrilled!”

In Pearl City, Oahu, Hawaii, Access purchased The File Connection, a division of M. Dyer & Sons, Inc., a moving and storage firm.

“We are pleased to announce these four transactions that represent our ongoing plan to grow our records and information management business throughout the United States and beyond,” said Access President John Chendo. “I am personally looking forward to the opportunity to share our vision with other members of our industry who currently provide their clients with outstanding service but understand the need to be part of a larger company with broader capabilities and more service options.”

As the largest privately held records and information management services provider in the United States, Access serves 30 markets across the nation and in Latin America.
