Company is named to the “Build 100 List” of Sustained Growth Companies

[NEWS] Livermore, CA, May 6, 2014 – Access, the industry’s largest privately held provider of records and information management services and the third largest player in the industry, has been named to an elite group: the Inc. magazine’s “Build 100 List”.

Here’s how Scott Liebs, Executive Editor of Inc. magazine describes “The Build 100” project: “We began the Build 100 project by collecting data on more than 100,000 U.S. mid-market companies (those with 85 to 999 employees). We then looked at how many increased head count in every year from 2007 to 2012. Remarkably, fewer than 1.5 percent of the companies met that standard. Of those that did, we selected a representative sample that agreed to work with us on a long-term research project to understand the factors responsible for sustained growth. We focused on head count rather than revenue because we found that increased hiring is more predictive of future sustained growth, and that’s what this project is all about.”

As one Inc. article’s headline states, “What does it take to expand year after year, even through the Great Recession? Very few companies have ever done so. You can learn a lot from those that have.” Access is one that has by adding more than 250 talented employees and by expanding geographically, doubling in size with a major acquisition in October 2012, and acquiring more than 50 other records management companies within the 2007 to 2012 time frame, including its further expansion in Costa Rica.

Access CEO Rob Alston shared, “Our company was proud to participate and all of us are excited to have been recognized within this select group. All of us at Access are committed to providing our clients the very best service, it is our defining mantra. To accomplish it – and to achieve this kind of national recognition – we hire and nurture only the most talented people, we identify, develop and maintain the most effective partnerships with organizations that can fully support our goals, and we listen to our clients intently.”

Today, with more than 550 Team Members in more than 30 markets nationwide, as well as in Latin America, providing clients with a comprehensive suite of records and information management services – and having recently added Breach Reporting Services to its lineup – Access is poised to build incrementally upon its positive growth. And that is very good news for its current and future clients, its Team Members and its partners who are now associated with a very special group of high achievers.
