According to PRISM, the Privacy+ standards are to be met in connection with the safeguarding of client information contained in paper and electronic records. This self-certification program is offered on a voluntary basis to all PRISM International companies. Among the objectives are to: ensure the privacy of information in a manner consistent with industry standards, as well as protect against unauthorized access or use that may result in harm to any consumer.

Access complies with the Privacy+ program as a part of their commitment to stay updated and in compliance with evolving laws and regulations, to share resources and best practices and in order to help PRISM members reduce privacy breach risks.

PRISM International (Professional Records and Information Services Management) is a not-for-profit corporation. The organization is global in scope and serves members in more than 60 countries around the world. PRISM International service areas cover the physical record storage and management and data protection services. The corporation also provides services and education related to imaging and conversion services and confidential destruction services. PRISM International membership is voluntary, ensuring that member businesses are dedicated to improving their internal operations and to learning and applying industry best practices.
